    Note from Bert and Mae

 

Dear Friends of B.B.C.

 

This will be a brief note to keep you up-to-date with the Radfords and to once more say "Thank you" for your kindness at the time of my retirement.  Our summer has gone very well. I am caught up with all the gardening projects around the yard and I have spent some enjoyable hours in my canoe.  I shared some time at a friend's cabin on Georgian Bay and four days paddling and camping with a friend  in Algonquin Park. They were most enjoyable and refreshing times for me and gave me some time in seclusion to begin working my way into retirement.   Mae continues to manage Volunteer Services at VON in Hamilton and is enjoying her work planning new projects to serve the needs of senior adults in Hamilton and Stoney Creek.

 

We are most grateful for the gifts you gave us at retirement.  The original watercolour by Grace Cowling is a beautiful work and has found a place in our entrance hall;  the paddle has an honoured place on our wall of memories and we have applied the gift of money to a trip we are planning to Italy in April. We will be spending several days in Rome and in Sorrento and we are grateful for the help which you have given us to achieve this dream.

 

Our thoughts are with you constantly and we pray that God will continue to bless your ministry under Dawn's and John's capable leadership
