Services
- Supporting the Ministers.
- Providing pastoral care, prayer, and visitation.
- Seeing that the requirements for worship are met for Sunday worship services, monthly
communion, ushering, music.
Volunteering Opportunities:
- Be a member of the Deacons Committee.
- Help with the monthly Communion: prepare the elements and cloths, serve communion
with the deacons.
- Help keep the Sanctuary orderly and appropriately prepared for worship: Provide flowers
for each Sunday, deliver flowers to needy and shut-ins, decorate the sanctuary for
different liturgical and seasonal events.
- Be an usher: ushering at all regular and special services.
- Help with the music program: Be a member of the Music sub-committee which coordinates
music and assists the Music Director. Participate in a choir. Help with the Junior
Choir. Serve on special task forces. Provide your musical talents including instrumental
and vocal..
- Be part of a visitation team and assist the Ministers in Pastoral care.
- Assist in special events such as Shrove Tuesday supper, advent activities and others.
- Read scriptures in morning worship

Services:
- Providing Christian Education programs for all ages – young children to adults –
both on Sundays and during the week.
- Looking after the Church Library.
- Liaising with the Wellness Committee.
Volunteering Opportunities:
- Be a member of the Christian Education Committee.
- Be a member of the Wellness Committee.
- Help with the library.
- Be a Sunday Church School teacher.
- Supervise the Nursery for infants.
- Be a leader of a Youth Group.
- Help lead a Bible Study, Prayer Group, or Support/Interest Group of your choice.
- Help with the monthly Friendship Group for seniors.
- Be a Secret Pal for a child or young person – an intergenerational opportunity for
adults and younger people to get to know each other and to support each other.

Services:
- Promoting missions and outreach.
- Coordinating the church’s giving to local care-giving groups.
- Coordinating the annual Sharing Way Sunday and giving to Sharing Way relief.
- Collecting gifts for nursing homes and needy children annually.
- Liaising with the local Neighbourlink which provides assistance to people in our
community.
- Coordinating support for the work of the Guardian Angels who knit for needy infants.
- Monitoring requests for social action petitions.
- Working with the Baptist Women to collect Christmas gifts for our missionaries.
Volunteering Opportunities:
- Be a member of the Mission and Outreach Committee.
- Be a volunteer with NeighbourLink.
- Be a volunteer with the Guardian Angels.
- Assist the Committee with its annual projects and special appeals.
- Bring information and needs to the Committee’s attention.

Services:
- Arranging drivers for those who need rides to Sunday worship services.
- Arranging for Greeters at the door on Sunday mornings.
- Looking after the Visitor Book and writing letters to visitors.
- Writing annual letters to University/College Students away from home.
- Providing a regular newsletter for the congregation.
- Assisting the Clerk to maintain an updated church membership roll.
- Maintaining a church photo directory.
- Providing an annual luncheon for newcomers to the church.
- Assisting the Deacons with visitation as required.
Volunteering Opportunities:
- Be a member of the Membership Committee.
- Be a Sunday morning greeter.
- Assist in producing the newsletters.
- Write letters to visitors or away from home students.
- Provide rides to church for those who need rides.

Services:
- Maintaining the church building including regular cleaning and repair work and ensuring
that all utilities are provided.
- Maintaining the outside properties of the church including the lawns, shrubs, gardens,
driveways, parking area, and lighting.
- Acquiring and maintaining appropriate church furnishings and equipment.
- Coordinating the handling of all church money including the counting, receipting,
and banking of offerings, and payment of invoices.
- Overseeing the use of the church property including rental arrangements and providing
facilities for church programs.
- Preparing an annual budget for approval and monitor that budget.
- Preparing contractual agreements for all church employees.
Volunteering Opportunities:
- Be a member of the Property and Finance Committee.
- Help with the annual spring and fall clean up and trimming of the outside yard, gardens,
and shrubs.
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance of the outside church property including planting
and care of the gardens.
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance and repair of the church building in varied tasks
from painting to replacing light bulbs.
- Help operate the sound system during church services and special events.
- Help count church offerings each Sunday morning.
- Help move the chairs and set up tables for various church events and help with the
clean up.
- Assist with special fundraising events such as the annual garage sale and auction.

Services:
- Providing refreshments after Sunday morning worship.
- Catering for church dinners, special church receptions, and church social events.
- Maintaining the kitchen, kitchen equipment, kitchen supplies.
- Maintaining an inventory of supplies and a lending procedure.
Volunteering Opportunities:
- Be a member of the Hospitality Committee.
- Help with the refreshments each Sunday morning and cleaning up afterwards.
- Assist with the catering of the various dinners, receptions, and social events. This
may involve preparing sandwiches, desserts, or helping to cook in the kitchen, set
up, and clean up.
